Alicia Block

Alicia Block says her “ photography is the search of light and shadows” and her entire collection evokes a magical world to me. I particularly love her images of Paris - the buildings, the lights, favorite landmarks - and feel inspired to book a ticket soon! (all images via Alicia Block Etsy)

Soft at the End of a Long Day

I love working with students, but some days are just difficult, especially when it feels as though all you hear is the negative. Today was one of those days, and I just felt like a human punching bag. It’s over, but I just wanted something pretty, something soft, to enjoy at the end of the day. Calm, spring-like, and a perfect antidote to the end of a long day. Credits: 1/2/3/4/5/6/7

Sunday Suppers and Karen Mordechai

I’ve been reading the Sunday Suppers blog for a couple of years now, and wish so much that I were friends with photographer Karen Mordechai (who shoots and styles all of the images for her blog) and that I lived closer to Brooklyn to take advantage of her Sunday Suppers lessons and experiences. It feels like dream work to me: styling, photographing, cooking all in one. In the past, Karen and her creative partners bring together people to share a communal meal that they have had a chance to help cook. And isn’t that what friendship - and beauty - is all about?
