Vacation
In just several hours, I leave for Japan. I am beyond excited. My college roommate and dear friend lives in Tokyo, and while I’ve visited her before for short snippets of time during business travel, this is the first time I’m heading back for a real vacation. It’s the first long vacation I’ve taken since 2006, and I’m ready to explore and to have good adventures....
Something New for Spring
This time of year when the weather begins to warm and daylight stays with us longer, I begin to tidy everything around me and wish for a bit of a new spring update. Kiki and Polly
Inspired by her artist father and her own children, portrait artist Lisa Golightly, the artist behind Kiki and Polly, creates whimsical, lovely paintings that convey an exquisite attention to detail. Neha is like a sister to me, and is a friend I trust deeply. Can’t wait to see you, dear friend! These photos remind me of our long friendship and sisterhood.
Follow Studio
I have a couple of friends who joke that my voice is different when I talk about paper. I adore paper like no other medium: washi, solid cotton (of nearly any weight), chiyogami, brown kraft - I love it all. It’s been this way my whole life. And I think I met my kindred spirit in paper when I discovered Follow Studio about a year ago. Follow Studio is a paper goods and custom design studio...
Line + Liv
I was poking around on Bloesem Kids (I *love* that blog) today and was reminded of the exquisite online shop Line und Liv. You’ve heard me say before that I wish so much of the beautifully made clothing I wrote about came in adult sizes. These pieces, from artists like Lieschen Müller, Bobo Choses, Suvi Ainoa, Ola & Olek, BOdeBO, fall squarely in to the wish it came in my size category....
