The Great Gatsby
Several years ago I was on a long cross-country flight when someone next to me asked if I was reading what I was for school. I look young for my age, I admit, and was long out of school at that point, but I guess it was unusual to see someone reading The Great Gatsby for fun. I love that book, love the aura of the time in which the story is set, and always imagine the setting, the details. I’m giddy with excitement for the release of Gatsby this weekend (anyone care to join me Saturday or Sunday?), and loved these photographs of one of my favorite actors, Carey Mulligan (she was a showstopper in An Education, one of my favorite movies of all time.), by Mario Testino forĀ Vogue. See the full slidshow here. Stunning, yes? (all images via Vogue, by Mario Testino)
